With a predicted long hot summer of 2009 on the way, here are 6 different wines that are perfect barbecue drinking at prices that won't break the bank.  First up is one of my favourite wines we stock - the MandraRossa Syrah.  Top value Sicilian red.  Then we have the almost flawless Chilean Calbuco Cabernet/Merlot.  Rich, ripe and rounded with plenty of soft blackcurrant fruit.  The Aussie Redfin Shiraz/Grenaches is a smokier, spicier wine and perfect with any rich dishes.  The Norton Vista Flores from Argentina is a great example of the great value quality wines coming out of South America.  Soft and supple and just as good on its own as with food.  For organic fans amongst you we have a beautiful example of Malbec with the Santa Ana.  Rich yet very smooth and a real snip at the price.  We finish with possibly the finest bottle of under £10 claret I have had the pleasure to try with the Chateau D'Argadens.  All in all top quality at a very affordable price.
