Very intense blackberry red with strong crimson tinges. Extraordinary combination of rich blackberry, blackcurrant and fig aromas fills out a complex and very substantial palate. Rich and dark cherry, blackberry and coffee flavours are backed by good firm tannins. Great length and persistence. The Malbec and Petit Verdot in this blockbuster provides the fruit power and colour, with the Merlot element adding softness and subtlety.  If you drink this now, decant for a good 2-3 hours first; if you have more patience than me, 5-7 years' cellaring will bring great rewards.
