This is the first time we've managed to get our hands on any of Drew Noon's highly sought after Eclipse, simply because there's never enough to go around. However, we've struck lucky with this vintage, which is another blockbuster. A slightly different blend this time with the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon and Graciano to add more structure to the wine. It's still a high powered wine packed full of ripe black fruits, with layers of liquorice, clove, dark chocolate and spice, along with ripe tannins and soft acidity. Lots of complexity and a delicious long finish. It's not for everyone, but for those that like their full, ripe, juicy Aussie reds, they don't come much better than this.
