Intensely deep in colour, this is a very serious wine produced from the top selected grapes in the vineyard, 100% Malbec.  A powerful nose of dark berry and cherry with a fresh mint note, leads you into a full-on palate with layers of ripe, dark brooding fruit, chocolate, spice and oak.  There's masses of tannin but the wine has good structure and, whilst you could drink this now (after a long decant and with a chunk of beef), it will benefit from a few years in the cellar.   A top Cahors.
