The second addition to our range from the wonderful Paringa Estate. Bucking the trend for overblown wines that give it all away in the first sip, Paringa have been crafting some seriously classy wines in the Mornington Peninsula since 1985.
The 2009 Pinot Gris is a beautifully harmonious wine, almost crystalline in colour with glints of green gold. The nose is of zingy delicate apricot and cut flowers with edges of green apple and wet meadows. The palate has a restrained but powerful blend of just under-ripe pear, granny smith and subtle white stone fruit. A textural masterpiece with the flavours layered so that you can almost taste each individually but all sitting together perfectly. Clean acidity wraps things up and keeps the finish long and immensely satisfying.
