Scotland's oldest independent family owner distillery based on the Campbeltown peninsular and currently i the hands of the great great great grandson of the original owner Hedley Wright who opened the distillery in 1828.
The 10 year old is wholly produced at the distillery, a claim only Springbank can make. Produced without chill-filtration or the addition of caramel as colour. Matured in both bourbon and sherry casks to give a nose of sweet vanilla tinged pear, the palate has subtle peaty malt, tangy spice and echoes of vanilla, long and intense this is a superb malt.
