A delicious and extremely well priced addition to our range of Burgundies and from a well respected house, from whom we taken their St Veran for many years. Packing a lot more of a punch than many Village wines costing a fair amount more, this is a great introduction to real Chardonnay without the (far too regular) feeling of being fleeced by buying into Burgundy.
A clean nose of white fruits and light toast lead to a lively palate of peach and apricot, rich lemon and excellent mineral depth. There's enough fruit weight to make sure it lies ahead of the oak, which sits very well and is never over the top. The length of flavour is impressive for a wine at this level.
