This was the only one of Le Versant wines that split opinion amongst the team. Whilst the other three wines were loved by all of us, some found their Chardonnay a bit too rich. It is a creamy tropical style of wine with lots of fruit but, as with all their wines, it's got fresh acidity and great balance. The nose of tropical fruit, citrus and cream urges you to drink the wine and the palate does not disappoint. There's notes of mango, passion fruit, citrus and peach along with a delightful creaminess and firm acidity. It's not a shy wine but there is a time and place for this sort of style and, if you're in the mood, this is top notch.
