Brachetto D'Acqui is a lightly sparkling red dessert wine, low in alcohol and absolutely delicious.  And Contero's version is the best we've tried by a long shot.  A cherry pink colour in the glass with a lovely nose of turkish delight and red cherry, the palate has a soft aromatic fizz with subtle sweet strawberry and red cherry notes.  Nice acidity balances the wine and the finish is quite dry and fresh.  Delicious, and the perfect partner to summer berry fruit and light chocolate desserts.
