Fortunately, many might say, Fixin has been somewhat off the beaten track for Red Burgundy enthusiasts and therefore more accessible in terms if price and value. Now run by the delightful Amelie Berthaut, this estate is rated as one of the best of the appellation. On the nose good and pure rather dark fruit, presented with a nice earthy minerality. A vibrant, dancing red this wine has lovely fresh red fruit and spices to the nose, with hazelnuts and raspberries dominating the palate. More savoury than silky in style, but still quite juicy and with excellent persistence. It is a wine of both character and quality.
