A tasty new addition to the red Burgundy range from the underrated commune of Marsannay. Ghislain Kohut has been making wine at this 10 hectare domaine since 1989. His father retired three years ago and Ghislain assumed sole responsibility. The single vineyard Marsannays are a real step up from the village wines and the En Champs Perdix is a more serious, structured wine from the border with Fixin. A delightful Pinot Noir with a satifying plum ruby colour, the nose is fresh and mineral. The palate is quite rich and supple with layered red and black fruits and careful savoury notes.
