Tucked in the stony hills of the Languedoc's smallest appellation, Faugeres, lies Domaine des Pres Lasses (nothing to do with being a bit close to northern girls apparently). A labour of love for two friends Jean-Paul Ribeton & Denis Fiegel, the 10-60 year old vines are tended by hand in time honoured fashion with respect for nature.
A true blend of Languedoc varieties the nose shows all the hallmarks of the region: sweet cherry and raspberry with distinctive warm, dried herb notes. The palate is softer and juicier than expected with gentle tannins carrying the lovely red fruits along nicely, lots of complexity as you would expect from such a blend and fresh acidity making this a very friendly wine.
SC Rating - Excellent (Dan)
