This is a great midweek wine to go with pizza or pasta. From the Radda area in Chianti Classico, Tuscany, this is a blend of Merlot and Sangiovese. Medium to full, this has a palate brimming with plums and black cherries and that refreshing hint of bitterness that so many Italian wines have. Aged mainly in steel with just a part in barrels to show off the fruit, this is cracking stuff and a nice alternative to Chianti.
