Deep aromas of plum and ripe dark berries alongside tar and smoky notes. On the palate is packed full of layers of plum and smoky blackcurrant fruit with some creamy notes hiding in there somewhere. Low acidity but with very youthful tannins at the minute. Ideally needs cellaring for 2 to 3 years or if you want to have it now then, decant it and have with any red meat. This was the wine that got me into Spanish wines, many years ago now, and it is still a benchmark.
SC Rating - Very Good (Outstanding with time?)
