A magnificent mature Bordeaux from one of the standout vintages of the modern era. The 2000 Sociando-Mallet displays enticing aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, cigar box and graphite, evolving into layers of leather, forest floor and savoury spice with time in the glass.
The palate remains remarkably vibrant, balancing ripe cassis fruit with classic Left Bank structure and refined tannins. Powerful yet beautifully resolved, this is a mature claret of depth, complexity and exceptional character, offering all the hallmarks of fine aged Bordeaux at its most rewarding.
