Gusbourne Estate in Appledore, Kent is one of English Wines' fastest rising stars. With 22ha of vines planted in the Kentish countryside just 6 miles from the coast, enjoying the Channel's moderating influence on climate to produce fruit of exceptional quality leading to distinctive, delicious wines. Production is concentrated on Sparkling Wines, but when the weather permits, a small quantity of still wine is made.
Brut Reserve, produced from the three classic champagne varieties, is easily as good as fellow English 'Grande Marque' sparklers. Pale yellow to the eye with a nose of soft white stone fruits and floral/blossom notes. The mousse is superb, lush and soft with the perfect fizz to acidity ratio. Light brioche alongside the top end of almond coincide with crisp citrus and gentle aromatics.
