We absolutely love this wine! English wine has been on the up for many years but the on niggling problem we have always had with wines is the prices. Fair enough the cost of an acre of land in the South East England is cosmically most expensive than an acre of Chilean desert, but we have been so spoilt with great quality imported wines at reasonable prices it can be very difficult to justify £12+ for a decent little white that may cost £6 from the New World. Then again it's nice to support local producers - ah!!
Anyway, the wine. A lovely nose of soft apple blossom and gentle apricot lead to a palate that is just off-dry but deliciously fresh and easy to get along with. The apricot follows on from the nose and is combined with rounded citrus fruits - mainly subtle orange and lemon. This wine is just great on its own but will work very well with white fish dishes and salads.
