We'd heard a lot of good things about the Jermann wines so when Angelo Jermann called to come and taste the wines with us, we were looking forward to it with some anticipation. And, needless to say, we weren't disappointed with any of the range. I think that the defining characteristic of all the wines is the purity of the fruit and the minerality that runs through them all, making them light and fresh whilst being intense.
This Pinot Grigio is a real step up from most of the bland nonsense produced as PGs, with lovely apple blossom and peach notes on the nose and palate, as well as citrus and a firm backbone of mouth watering acidity. Add to this the freshness and the lovely mineral element, as well as a great length of flavour and you have a real wine of quality.
