Following on from the huge success of Kevin Judd's Sauvignon Blanc, a "wild" version was introduced from the 2009 vintage. As the name suggests, this is 100% wild yeast fermented in old oak barrels, malolactic fermentation, and then a bit of ageing on the lees. This all results in a wine that is soft and rounded with a lovely mouth feel, soft acidity and a superb subtly creamy finish. It's Sauvignon Blanc, with its green highlights and tropical notes, but not as we know it. Cracking stuff that will age well and a score of 9/10 from me when tasted with Kevin recently.
