What a find this wine is, recently achieving gold medal status in 'Chardonnay du Monde' competition, coming in the top 10 out of 696 wines!
From the Robertson Valley area of South Africa is this superb new wine. Danie de Wet pioneered this noble cultivar in South Africa and this Chardonnay is a fresh and expressive, unoaked version. The nose is delicate with aromas of lemon, honeysuckle blossom and peach. The wine was matured on its lees to produce a vibrant, lemony dry wine, showing floral notes, citrus & macadamia notes with a yeasty and delicate nutty finish. Wine shows brisk and fresh notes that will leave you wanting more! Drinks like a very fine Macon.
