Coonawarra Syn Sparkling Blanc

Leconfield Coonawarra was established in 1974 by noted oenologist, Sydney Hamilton.

During a winemaking career spanning nearly 60 years, Sydney was highly regarded for his contribution to the industry.

At the age of 76, Sydney Hamilton still yearned to make a classic Australian Cabernet Sauvignon and set himself the task of finding the right district in which to establish his own vineyard and winery and Leconfield Coonawarra was established.

Today Leconfield’s winemaking direction is driven by highly regarded winemaker, Paul Gordon.

The original name of the Sparkling Wine Range was ‘Synergy ’ in honour of the synergy between the Leconfield Coonawarra and McLaren Vale vineyards.

Today all the fruit is sourced solely from the Coonawarra vineyards to capture the qualities of the cool climate region that is essential for the creation of elegant sparkling wines.

To reflect this change, the name was shortened and ‘Syn ’ was created

This NV blend of Chardonnay & Pinot Noir has a bright, peachy nose with an enticing yeasty influence to give a trace of macadamia nut.

The zestful palate has a clean, bright acidity.

Brut in style, the wine leaves the palate tingling and refreshed.

To finish, it has an excellent, persistent mousse and velvety creaminess.
