His family have been making wines here for 400 years.
The estate itself is 20 hectares split up into 30 of the best plots around Kirchberg am Wagram which allow Berhard to both blend across the region and produce single vineyard bottlings of the highest order.
Crisp and dry on the palate, with restrained orchard and citrus fruit notes that combine with Gruner's signature white pepper character.
Perfect with a schnitzel, leafy green or root vegetables or lightly spiced Asian dishes, Gruner is a sommelier's best friend as it pairs well with just about everything.
