At The Secret Cellar, we're passionate about bringing the people behind the wines to our customers. Every bottle has a story to tell, and there’s no better way to discover that story than over dinner with the family behind it.
This September, we're delighted to welcome Joe Lange, fifth-generation family owner of LangeTwins Family Winery, all the way from California for a very special evening at our Tunbridge Wells shop.
The Lange family have been farming in California since the 1870s, and today LangeTwins are one of Lodi's most respected family wineries. Alongside producing exceptional wines, the family have built an international reputation for their pioneering approach to sustainable winegrowing.
Over the course of the evening, Joe will guide us through six wines from the Lange family portfolio, each served alongside a specially selected dinner designed to complement the wines. We will be tasting the following wines throughout the evening.

Centennial Old Vine Zinfandel will be our treat to finish the tasting. There are only 36 bottles of this rare and limited wine currently available within the UK (RRP £85). Although there’s not a lot to go around, we thought it would be a treat to offer our Secret Cellar guests a small taste to round off the evening!
Throughout dinner, Joe will share the story of five generations of the Lange family, the vineyards and character of Lodi, and the people, places and decisions behind the wines in your glass. It will also be a rare opportunity to meet Joe personally, ask questions and enjoy an evening of Californian wine in the relaxed, intimate setting of The Secret Cellar.

Your ticket includes the full dinner, guided tasting of seven wines and the opportunity to spend the evening with Joe Lange.
With just 36 places available, this will be one of our most intimate dinner events of the year.
