This September, we're delighted to welcome Joe Lange, fifth-generation family owner of LangeTwins Family Winery, all the way from California for a very special evening at our Oxted shop.
The Lange family have been farming in California since the 1870s, with Joe representing the fifth generation of a family whose connection to the land now stretches back more than 150 years. Today, LangeTwins are one of Lodi's most respected family wineries, producing wines that showcase the character of California while continuing the family's pioneering commitment to sustainable winegrowing.
A Taste of California
Join Joe for a relaxed evening exploring seven Californian wines from the Lange family portfolio, accompanied by a generous sharing selection of artisan cheeses, cured meats and delicious accompaniments, chosen to enjoy alongside the wines throughout the evening.
As we taste, Joe will take us behind the bottles — sharing stories from five generations of the Lange family, introducing us to the vineyards of California and Lodi, and revealing the passion and people behind the wines. The following wines will be tasted on the evening.

Centennial Old Vine Zinfandel will be our treat to finish the tasting. There are only 36 bottles of this rare and limited wine currently available within the UK (RRP £85). Although there’s not a lot to go around, we thought it would be a treat to offer our Secret Cellar guests a small taste to round off the evening!
Throughout the evening, you'll have the chance to chat with Joe, ask questions and discover the stories behind the wines in a relaxed and intimate setting.
