Acquired by the Sichel Family in 2020, this Bordeaux blend from Château Daviaud is a Merlot dominant blend with 21% Cabernet Franc and the balance made up of Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon: an assortment of grape varieties that clearly illustrates this property's "hillsides" origin of the terroir which makes this blend a "singular" Bordeaux AOP.
The wine's colour is deep red but not excessively so in a refined style, displaying the large proportion of Cabernet Franc in the blend.
The nose is expressive with notes of fruit and lots of spice which reveals ripeness and it is very fresh and on the palate, it is charming with surprising fullness, smoothness and also, a lot of depth.
A perfect everyday Bordeaux competitively priced.
