Established in 1820, W & J Graham is one of the most famous names in the Port trade and has long been synonymous with the greatest Vintage Ports.
The Symington family acquired the company from the Graham family in 1970, so today Graham's still remains a wholly family owned firm.
This Late Bottled Vintage 2015 (LBV) Port was produced from grapes sourced from four of Graham's vineyards located in various prime sites in the mountainous Douro Valley.
This LBV has a lovely honeysuckle fragrance as well as hints of mint, which is often present in Graham's wines and in the background, there are also some attractive, bright tropical fruit notes.
Typically Graham's on the palate with sumptuous ripe black fruit flavours combining with hints of kirsch.
The fine grained tannins give the wine balance and structure, whilst good acidity underscores the wine's freshness.
Port is the perfect companion to Stilton and Christmas pudding but there is really no need to wait until then.
