Endlessly zealous about quality and craft, 2019 saw Alex set his sights on the cooler climate of Pipers River, north of Launceston, Tasmania.
Under Russell & Suitor, Alex has been reinvigorated by the idyllic and pristine terroir of Tasmania and the new opportunities such a climate presents.
This Pinot Noir is a bright, dark, brick red colour with tinges of black to the edges and a light red hue.
On the nose, fleshy dark fruit aromas and plums integrated with spicy French oak and a dash of musk abound.
On the palate, soft tannins are followed by a long soft finish.
This vintage is a delightful mix of sweet fruit, a touch of garrigue and a savoury edge.
