This Crozes Hermitage Nouvelère 2019 from Domaine Philippe et Vincent Jaboulet comes from a vineyard owned by the family for over 3 generations and the vines benefit from " Galets Roulés " (components of the terroir and a distinguishing feature of many of the vineyards in the Côtes du Rhône AOC and more specifically Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC and other top wine producing areas in the regions such as Gigondas AOC and Vacqueyras).
These 50 year old vines produce a low yield which means a higher concentration and after 24 months in oak barrels, this exceptional Crozes Hermitage Nouvelère is a darker, more broodier style of wine.
It shows incredible complexity for the price with generous red fruit flavours, strong robust tannins and hints of spice.
A true treasure from this producer and one to savour for years to come.
