The Società Agricola Castello di Radda SS is located on the eastern hills facing the town of Radda in Chianti in the Castello di Volpaia borough.
Now owned by the famous Beretta family, the vineyards are exposed from the south west to the south east with clay and limestone soils of a medium texture, with a good skeleton percentage, particularly suited for the cultivation of Sangiovese and Canaiolo.
This is a rich, ripe and voluptuous style of Sangiovese with great balance and purity.
Lots of spice on the nose red fruit aromas. French oak, baked plum, espresso and a whiff of vanilla carry over to the smooth palate together with ripe cherry and a hint of star anise.
Fine tannins offer polished support.
