Negroamaro del Salento IGT 2024 Villa Mottura

Mottura wines are modern, but have a long history to tell.

It is the history of Salento, a unique place, rich in cultural and food and wine traditions.

Their wines are made from native grapes such as Primitivo and Negroamaro and their aromas and bouquets reflect the spirit of the Puglia region, its authenticity and its energy.

This Primitivo's production area extends between the provinces of Taranto and Brindisi in Puglia.

This wine comes from the Negroamaro grape variety and a minimal addition of Malvasia nera di Lecce.

Produced in the town of the same name in the province of Lecce, it has been cultivated in the southern area of Puglia since the sixth century B.C.

Macerated with selected yeasts and fermented at a controlled temperature, it ages in French oak barrels for about 6 months.

A beautiful ruby red colour tending to garnet and it has intense aromas of almond and blackberry.

It has an intense, ample bouquet of ripe fruit, pepper, tobacco and walnut husk.

A warm, unctuous red wine with a round, firm finish.
