Positioned in the idyllic Jonkershoek Valley on the outskirts of the historical town of Stellenbosch, the Estate boasts views of dramatic mountain ranges, endless rows of lush vineyards and hectares of gardens shaded by giant oak trees.

Home to the first bottled Pinotage, since 2012 Lanzerac vineyards have been undergoing extensive new vineyard developments, as well as eradicating old vineyards with the biggest increase in Pinotage and Chardonnay plantings.

Pionier Pinotage is a tribute to the first world's first bottled Pinotage - a 1959 Lanzerac Pinotage.

This wine delivers dense, concentrated fruit and layers of different flavours as nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon surround plums, prunes, berries and currants whilst the well-integrated oak and soft, silky tannins add backbone and length.

A big, complex wine with a velvety palate ends with a long and lingering memory in your mouth and on your tongue.
