Rioja Reserva 2018 Cuna de Reyes

Cuna de Reyes winery was founded in 1999 in the town of Nájera (La Rioja) also known as the "King's Court" and paying homage to this noble town, their wines are now called Cuna de Reyes (birthplace of kings).

Cuna de Reyes harvests its own grapes from La Rioja Alta with great care taken over the quality of the fruit.

The main grape variety used is Tempranillo, however also used are Grenache and Mazuelo for red wines and Viura for whites.

In the careful hands of the exuberant winemaker, Alfredo Ciria (third generation winemaker), traditional wine making techniques are used with state of the art facilities to create wines of real quality and character.

This complex Rioja Reserva is 85% Tempranillo, 5% Mazuelo & 10% Garnacha aged for 36 months including 18 months in American and French oak which produces a velvety smooth, strawberry scented wine, with spicy red notes, soft tannins and a hint of oak.
