Valtravieso in DO Ribera del Duero was acclaimed as a First Growth by Tim Atkin MW in 2023.
Nestled in one of the region’s highest limestone moorlands at an altitude of 915m, it produces high altitude wines with unique characteristics.
Minimal intervention allows Valtravieso to preserve the grape’s natural qualities, reflecting the distinctive terroir, and resulting in elegant, profound wines endowed with a mineral freshness and captivating aromas, flavours & notes.
This is a single varietal wine of Valtravieso that comes from the limestone areas of La Cotarra Alta and Valdelobas plots within their La Revilla estate where the vines have an average of 25 years old and low yields.
An expressive wine with character, power and elegance & will cellar well for up to 10 years.
