Armagnac XO Château de Pellehaut

Built in the eighteenth century, Château de Pellehaut lies in the Ténarèze appellation on the edge of the Bas-Armagnac region which produce powerful brandies that are soft on the palate.

Its exceptional situation imparts finesse, mildness and complexity to the Armagnacs it produces.

The estate has been run for more than 300 years by successive generations of the Béraut family.

Thanks to their careful labours and ancestral knowledge Mathieu and Martin Béraut maintain a Gascon tradition of producing exceptional wines & spirits.

The clay soils of Ténarèze yield more robust and powerful brandies and at Pellehaut, they very are proud of this terroir, which is a contributing factor to the quality of the wines and armagnac brandies produced here.

This XO is assertive and intensely fruity, especially with unsweetened pineapple and papaya: in the mouth, it is dry and resin like and at mid palate, the flavour turns candied and concentrated.

It finishes semi dry with hints of caramel and is slightly bittersweet.
