Nowhere more so than the release of his newest label, Russell & Suitor.
Endlessly zealous about quality and craft, 2019 saw Alex set his sights on the cooler climate of Pipers River, north of Launceston, Tasmania.
Under Russell & Suitor, Alex has been reinvigorated by the idyllic and pristine terroir of Tasmania and the new opportunities such a climate presents.
The fruit was destemmed and chilled to the press with the juice separated for this wine.
The juice was lightly clarified, before a slow fermentation at cool temperatures, using a carefully selected yeast in optimising varietal expression.
After a short period on yeast lees, the wine was filtered and prepared for bottling.
This Riverland Fiano is a vibrant, full flavoured white wine with fresh citrus and stone fruit flavours & just a hint of imerality.
