Based in the tiny village of Bernouil, just north-east of Chablis, this small family owned domaine bottle less than 10% of their production so remain relatively unknown.
The wines are very typical of the region: crisp and mineral but with an underlying generosity of palate, making them wonderful yet restrained partners for food.
Exceptionally good value wines from this Domaine are quite simply unheard of in Burgundy nowadays as prices have rocketed in recent years.
This is a sublime Chablis with a classic oyster shell and softly creamy nose with subtle citrus fruit underneath.
These notes carry through on the palate with a lovely mineral edge and fresh acidity, nicely balanced delicate fruit and a textured softly creamy finish.
