The commune and wine appellation of Rully in the north of the region of Cote Chalonnaise produces both red and white wines but is better known for the latter.
Typically Rully Blanc (100% Chardonnay fermented and matured in oak barrels) is accessible relatively early in life but well made barrel fermented examples can age for up to five years.
The Gault Family have worked the vineyards in Barizey since the 1700s and today they grow vines across 27 hectares in Rully, Mercurey & Givry.
Their old vines Rully is a golden yellow Chardonnay with delicious aromas of stone fruits and white flowers, full bodied, rich & creamy.
