The Pouilly vineyard in Tracy-sur-Loire, located 200 km south of Paris, between Sancerre and Nevers, is run by Nicolas Gaudry, a winemaker working on 30 hectares, mainly dedicated to the Pouilly-Fumé appellation and the Sauvignon grape variety.
This white wine by Nicolas Gaudry is made for those who prefer to drink bone-dry. The Pouilly-Fumé comes quite close to that, as it was vinified with only 2.5 grams of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine presents itself wonderfully crisp.
This Loire classic is pale coloured & the nose shows grapefruit, acacia, rhubarb and hints of blackcurrant.
The palate is broad textured and elegant with vibrant acidity and a core of ripe fruit.
Long and refreshing on the finish.
