From the Abruzzo region of Italy, Beretta (yes, the famous handgun makers and the weapon of choice of 007) have produced a fuller style of this now popular wine.
Pecorino once nearly disappeared as a grape but has been championed more recently by local winemakers and now has quite a following.
This Abruzzo Pecorino Superiore D.O.C is pale yellow straw in colour with a faint green hue with typical aromas of tropical fruit & white flowers.
On the palate it is fresh with good acidity and notes of sage & mint.
The perfect everyday apertif and a great companion with fish & shellfish.
