When Spoke heard that Marlborough’s oldest organic vineyard was about to be grubbed-up, they stepped in.
The handpicked fruit was a dream to work with.
In total, two tonnes of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon were handpicked, whole bunch pressed and co-fermented together.
Two hectares of historic Marlborough vines, brough back from the ‘brink’.
The fruit underwent partial skin contact before being run-off into old French barriques and one new French puncheon for finishing.
The result ?
Medium bodied with juicy texture and aromas of beeswax, pears, green apples and cooking spices.
Bright apple and citrus wash over the palate!
