Quinta de Amares has a legacy of history, represented by the Monastery “Mosteiro de Santo André de Rendufe” which was one of the most important national Benedictine Monasteries, developing continuously until the 15th century.
It is a very special and remarkable place - one that extends to their production of Vinho Verde, which has won numerious National & International awards.
With an extension of vineyards with approximately 50 hectares, the Quinta is located in the Portuguese municipality of Amares, in the heart of the Demarcated Region of Vinhos Verdes, in the small village of Sto. André de Rendufe, a land of deep and historical & religious traditions.
Their Alvarinho is a citrus colour with lemon nuances, tropical fruits, floral with a touch of tangerine.
It has a complex structure in the mouth & is balanced with prolonged freshness.
Ideal as an aperitif and pairs nicely with shellfish, fish, soft shell crab cakes & light pasta with vegetables as well as Pan Asian cusine.
