This Pinot Meunier was harvested in October 2022 and was gently pressed into stainless steel tanks to undergo fermentation with indigenous yeasts.
Left to its own devices, this tank gently bubbled along for a full 12 months undergoing primary fermentation and natural malolactic fermentation.
This is by far the longest fermentation they ever seen at Westwell and the long slow process has resulted in a superb wine with its own unique signature.
It copper rose in colour with aromas of wild strawberries, white cherries & violets and on the palate, there are notes of red & stone fruits.
