Priorat Blanca 2021 QUARS Alfredo Arribas

Alfredo Arribas is a multi disciplinary architect who has developed most of his renowned international career in multiple world locations and more recently, many of his works have taken place in his birthplace, Barcelona.

In 2001, Alfredo started his adventure in the wine world, after acquiring the estate Clos del Portal, in Priorat, where he centres his activity today.

Clos del Portal embraces more than 50 hectares, a microclimate in which more or less half are vineyards and the rest are olive and almond tree crops, surrounded by Mediterranean forest.

El Mas de L'A  is undoubtedly clearly focused on the search for a different Priorat.

A project based on the different red and white Grenache grapes growing in the enclave of La Morera de Montsant, a valley located between the small towns of Cornudella and Poboleda, this region stands out for its ideal climatic conditions, a perfect balance between north and south in an altitude of 500 metres above sea level with a rich range of soils.

The result is a wine that displays the freshest version of the white Grenache, rounded off by the nuances from the oak ageing.

Smoky notes and tarte citron impress the nose.

Melons, lemon and a lovely salinity fill the palate, creating opulence, yet this is fresh and mineral wine.

It is pure harmony, refined with a balanced acidity.

Organic and sustainable production methods are used and this wine is suitable for vegans.
