Founded in 1886, Bodegas Gomez Cruzado, have been making wine in Haro in Rioja, producing a wide range of reds and whites from this renowned DO which have proven hugely popular with critics the world over including Robert Parker and most recently, Tim Atkin MW, who awarded this vintage 92/100.
The 2019 vintage White Rioja is a blend of 70% Viura, 25% Tempranillo Blanco & 5% Garnacha Blanca.
Archetypal Rioja notes waft from this pale yellow, hued wine as elements of white stone fruits, dried white flowers, hints of hazel nuts and crushed limestone emerge.
The palate is fresh, bright and loaded with ripe fruit and soft acidity.
Seriously good value for money from this fantastic Bodega.
