Alsace

Alsace is situated on the border between France & Germany and unusually for a French wine region, all the wines are varietally labelled.

Alsace has a cool to moderate continental climate and the principal grape varieties to look out for include Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris & Gewurztraminer.

Pinot Noir is also more widely grown.
